The GSA recently adopted the SITES Rating System, a tool for sustainable land design and development that promotes healthy and resilient communities. SITES was born at the Wildflower Center as a collaboration between industry experts, including many Center employees, and will now provide framework for sustainable development nationally.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center encourages the community to get outside and celebrate National Wildflower Week 2016, May 2-8 by providing walks, talks, field trips and activities for families and individuals in Austin and surrounding areas. The Center also provides free fun, educational resources and ideas for anyone anywhere to celebrate wildflowers.
